Our one day tour to Sonoma Valley with the Russian-Speaking guide starts with Viansa winery, designed on the sketches of ancient Tuscan wineries.
Our next stop: the historical downtown of the Sonoma city. The Franciscan monk from the Catholic mission of Sonoma, Father Jose Altamira, became the first to make the ritual wine. He was the one who actually started the history of winemaking in California. You will visit the mission, as well as the barracks, where in 1846 was the headquarters of the rebels, who were fighting for independence from Mexico. Bear Flag Republic, that won as a result of this revolution, lasted exactly 26 days, but in the memory of a short period of independence, the bear still adorns the flag of the Golden State.
After tasting the locally produced cheeses at Sonoma Cheese factory and a break for lunch you will visit two notable wineries: the oldest winery in California "Buena Vista", and the Sebastiani, which has an over 100 years history.
From Sonoma we will get to the town of Glen Helen, where the Jack London state park is situated. Here we will tour the Museum of Jack London, the ruins of his Wolf House, and will visit to the semi-abandoned tomb of the writer
